The legend of our granola began several years ago, when one of our monks decided he was tired of having eggs for breakfast every morning. He put together a simple but tasty granola recipe, and began making it for himself and a few other monks. Over time, samples were begged by staff, guests and visitors. It became instantly popular, and we began baking it here for sale. Since it is baked by our monks, we decided to call it “Holy Granola” to prove we too have a sense of humor. Will eating it make you holy? We can’t say yes or no, but it certainly couldn’t hurt!
Although some of the ingredients are organic, not all are. And this product is not gluten-free – if you are one of the 1% of Americans who has Celiac disease, or the additionally small percentage who are sensitive to gluten, please note this.
